FESTIVAL INFO

WHAT IS FREAKOUT FESTIVAL?

The Freakout is a late-fall festival created by local Seattle record label Freakout Records. Started as the Psychedelic Holiday Freakout Festival in 2013, this annual event has been curated in different parts of Seattle each year. In 2017 we return to Ballard from November 16-17th!

FAQ

WHO IS PLAYING?

Each year Freakout Records brings together a variety of bands, largely from the greater Pacific Northwest. In 2017 we also invited some of our friends to curate stages, including Treefort Music Fest, Artist Home Record Club, Killroom Records and Audioasis on KEXP. The 2018 festival will not disappoint, and we will be including an all-star roster of curators to help throw the best damn party in Seattle.

IS IT ALL AGES?

YES! We're pleased to announce that we've added a new venue this year that allows us to welcome underage music lovers. The Salmon Bay Eagles club will host some of our favorite acts and be open all weekend to those younger than 21. All other venues will require an I.D. for entry.

WHERE DO I GO?

Freakout Festival takes place for two-nights on November 16th and 17th. It will be located in Ballard (Seattle) and spread between several locations, including the Tractor TavernConor ByrneSunset TavernCaffe Umbria, The Salmon Bay Eagles Club and Filson Ballard. Find more info on the venues here.

HOW DO I BUY TICKETS?

Tickets are on sale via Brown Paper Tickets. You can purchase single day tickets or save some dough and purchase weekend passes that cover both Friday and Saturday. Check out the VIP option as well and let us buy your drinks! Day-of tickets will be sold at the venues with the option of purchasing a tickets to single venues.

IS THERE PARKING?

We strongly recommend that everyone use public transportation, whether King County Metro, Uber, Lyft, ReachNow, BMX pegs, etc. Street parking is available throughout Ballard on a first-come, first-served basis if you plan to bring a car.

HISTORY

Freakout Festival is the reason Freakout Records exists! Guy Keltner (label co-founder) started what was formerly the Psychedelic Holiday Freakout festival in 2013 as an annual event curated in different neighborhoods of Seattle. As the festival grew, more team members joined to help coordinate, which eventually formed the Freakout family. In 2016, we rebranded to make it a Freakout Records event, but at it’s core, Freakout Festival is still an event for the local Seattle music community.
