A burst of excitement; a dynamite experience that inspires, excites, and ignites all the senses. Exp: “Mary, get it in gear! We’re gonna be late for the Freakout!”
Back in 2013 in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, a few scrappy friends came together to produce the first version of what would eventually become known as Freakout Festival. Now in its 9th year, the festival has found its home in historic Ballard and proudly offers one of, if not the most diverse festival lineups in the northwest. Freakout offers a place for audiophiles to shake off their fall rain jackets, get rowdy and tap into a collective psychedelic music experience.
Freakout Festival is a comprehensive sensory experience. The weekend offers gritty guitars complemented by hypnotic light shows, along with tasty libations to enjoy while checking out bands that you’re unlikely to catch elsewhere in the PNW.
It Takes a Village
Whether you’re attending, playing or working Freakout Festival, we hope that you come expecting a sense of community and leave with more friends than you came with. We believe that kindness and decency always comes first, and we look forward to celebrating excellent music and familiar faces… especially after a year like this!
No description can ever capture the feeling of experiencing live music, so you should probably stop imaging and just buy a ticket. See you there.
Here's what to know
Expect options when it comes to tickets this year. Looking for a 4-day pass? We've got you covered. Can't make the whole festival? Grab a Friday + Saturday pass or a day ticket – whatever makes the most sense for you. There will be great bands to see every night of the festival, just about everywhere you turn in Ballard.
